Statement by the Communist Party of Poland: "Our struggle continues"!

The shameful attempt of the Polish state to outlaw the Communist Party of Poland (Komunistyczna Partia Polski - KPP) has become a central front in the international struggle against anti-communism.

In recent weeks, the Polish authorities escalated their decade-long persecution by bringing the case before the Constitutional Tribunal in an effort to criminalize the Party’s very existence.

KKE-KNE protest at Polish Embassy in Athens against renewed persecution of the Communist Party of Poland

A delegation of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) and the Communist Youth of Greece (KNE), led by KKE MP Afroditi Ktena, carried out a militant protest today at the Embassy of Poland in Athens, condemning the continuation of the unacceptable anti-communist persecutions against the Communist Party of Poland. The attacks escalate once again on December 3 at the Constitutional Court, following a petition submitted by Poland’s President K. Nawrocki claiming “unconstitutionality of the aims and activity of the Communist Party of Poland.”

Russia: Marxists face 20-year sentences for studying Lenin’s “State and Revolution”!

A new peak of anti-communist repression is unfolding in today's Russia. On 25 November 2025, during the closing hearings at the Central Military Court of the Yekaterinburg District, the prosecution demanded 20 to 24 years in a high-security penal colony for the members of a Marxist study circle in the city of Ufa, accusing them of “terrorism” and “conspiracy to overthrow the government.”

The five defendants, detained since February 2022, reject all charges and have reported torture during their interrogation. Their legal ordeal has now lasted nearly two years, with the first court session held in December 2023.

President Trump, your unhistorical anti-communist crusade will fail — Socialism will triumph!

By Nikos Mottas

On 7 November 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump proclaimed the week of 2–8 November as “Anti-Communism Week”, inviting the American people to “honor the victims of communism” and to remember the “devastation caused by one of history’s most destructive ideologies.”

But this proclamation is not a moral gesture — it is an ideological weapon. It revives the same Cold War rhetoric that once justified imperialist wars, fascist coups, and the persecution of workers, intellectuals, and freedom-fighters across the world. Behind Trump’s pompous words stands the oldest lie of the capitalist order: that communism, not capitalism, is the source of human suffering.

EU backs Czech Republic’s anti-communist crackdown — KKE exposes hypocrisy

A new escalation of the anti-communist offensive in the European Union is underway, this time with the Czech government preparing an operation to further criminalize the dissemination, support and defense of communist ideology — and the EU proving yet again its hypocrisy and tolerance for such reactionary measures.

The alarming developments were raised in the European Parliament by Kostas Papadakis, MEP of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), who exposed the Czech authorities’ plan to equate communist ideas with so-called “totalitarianism” and to apply harsh criminal sanctions.

The Forgotten Holocaust: 60 Years Since The Massacre of Indonesian Communists

By Nikos Mottas

This year marks the 60th anniversary of the beginning of the Indonesian massacres of 1965–66 — one of the greatest crimes of the 20th century, carried out under the banner of anti-communism.

More than a million communists, workers, peasants, intellectuals, and their families were butchered, while countless others were jailed, tortured, or disappeared.

Grover Furr: The Betrayal of the Communist Movement in the Soviet Union

Speech by Professor Grover Furr to the Institute for the Critical Study of the Society (ICSS) of Oakland, California, on the subject "The Betrayal of the Communist Movement in the Soviet Union":

Until the collapse of the Soviet Union, communists had always believed that the only way a socialist state could be destroyed was by hostile forces from the outside. Now we know that this was tragically wrong. The Soviet Union was destroyed by betrayal from within.

Kaja Kallas's rabid Anticommunism and Russophobia

By Nikos Mottas

Recently, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of People's Republic of China's victory against Japan, the EU High Representative on Foreign Affairs, Kaja Kallas proceeded to a new provocative statement. During a speech, she said: “Russia turned to China and said: 'Russia and China fought in World War II, we won World War II, we defeated Nazism' and I thought: 'Okay, that's something new'. If you know history, it raises a lot of questions. Nowadays, people don't read much and don't remember history. It's clear that they buy these narratives”.

Communist Party of Britain on EU's "Black Ribbon Day": A shameless and cynical falsification of history

In a statement posted on the Party's social media pages on Sunday 24 August, the Communist Party of Britain (CPB) condemns the blatant falsification of history by the European Union, on the occasion of the so-called "Black Ribbon Day", which is observed annually on 23 August as a "Europe-wide Day of Remembrance for the victims of all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes".

The Communist Party stresses out:

The spectre is still haunting them: German court declares Karl Marx’s teachings "unconstitutional"

"A spectre is haunting Europe — the spectre of communism". 177 years since the publication of the Communist Manifesto, the spectre is still haunting the capitalists, the bourgeois governments and their allies.

Karl Marx and his teachings are still so dangerous for the ruling classes that courts in Europe try to declare them as "unconstitutional".

A court in Hamburg, Germany, has stated in the details of a ruling concerning a Karl Marx reading group that Marx’s teachings may be contrary to the “free democratic basic order.”

Lavrov's sweater and the actual meaning of CCCP

The article below was published on 902.gr, official portal of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), on Saturday 16/8 under the title "No matter what they do, CCCP will always mean: Socialism consolidated in battle!".

Read below the text translated into English:

"In the sidelines of the Trump-Putin meeting, the sweatshirt worn by Russian Foreign Minister S. Lavrov with the initials of the USSR, namely CCCP (Союз Советских Социалистических Республик- Union of Soviet Socialist Republics), was commented on worldwide.

The attempt to vilify Lenin in capitalist Russia: On the occasion of the reactionary film "The Mummy"

A new “documentary”, "The Mummy," which premiered in Moscow on June 26, has ignited a firestorm of debate surrounding the legacy of Vladimir Lenin and his final resting place.

Produced by the fervently religious Christian channel “Spas” (Saviour), the film argues for the destruction of Lenin's Mausoleum, portraying it as a satanic temple and a bleeding wound on the soul of the Russian nation. The “documentary” presents a fantastical narrative, linking the Bolsheviks and their leader to a range of dark forces, including Egyptian pharaohs, Babylonian ziggurats, and Masonic conspiracies aimed at global domination by Satan.

Grover Furr's Khrushchev Lied is perhaps one of the most important books of the 21st century

By Nikos Mottas

Khrushchev Lied, first published in 2011, is definitely the most emblematic work of Grover Furr, an American Professor of Medieval English Literature at Montclair State University who has devoted years of research on Stalin-era Soviet Union.

Before going to the book itself, it is significant to underline that Furr isn't an ordinary historian who relies on the dominant narratives and “sacred truths” of bourgeois historiography. On the contrary, he carefully challenges those narratives and “truths”, applying a dialectical approach on history and seeking for the actual facts one by one, usually using an enormous list of thoroughly-searched, primary and secondary, sources.

Question by the MEPs of the KKE regarding the new attempt to ban communist ideology in Czech Republic

Question by the MEPs of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) regarding the new attempt to ban communist ideology in the Czech Republic

Backed by the EU, whose official ideology is anti-communism, the Fiala government in the Czech Republic has pushed through despicable changes to the penal code. These changes provocatively criminalize support for communist ideology, equating it with Nazism and making it punishable by up to five years in prison. This paves the way for dangerous developments, such as the banning of the Communist Party and communist activity in the Czech Republic.

Capitalism is dying: More than 30% of young Americans view communism positively, survey reveals

A recent survey conducted the by the reactionary Cato Institute and YouGov provides a quite promising perspective for the U.S society. Despite decades of severe anti-communist propaganda in education and media, a significant number of young men and women in the States seem to hold positive views on the concepts of socialism-communism.

According to the Cato/YouGov survey, 62 percent of Americans aged 18–29 say they hold a “favorable view” of socialism, while 34 percent say the same of communism.

Czech Republic: The despicable attempt to criminalize communist ideology shall not pass!

Rally by the KSČM in Prague (Archive Photo)
Based on the shameful and deeply unhistorical "theory of the two extremes", the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel (a former NATO General), signed on Friday 18/7 an amendment to the criminal code that criminalizes the "promotion of communist propaganda", putting it on a similar level to nazism!

The amendment invokes the known, unhistorical and shameful theory of the "two extremes", thus equating communism with the monster of nazism; under the amended criminal law, the public display of the sickle and hammer or the Soviet flag would incur similar penalty as bearing... swastikas or other Third Reich symbols!

Mexico: Mayor of Cuauhtémoc orders the removal of the statues of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara

Supporters of PCM at Fidel and Che's sculptures
In a completely unjustifiable decision, the mayor of Cuauhtémoc Municipality in Mexico City, ordered the removal of the sculptures of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara which had been placed in 2017 in Tabacalera gardens as a reminder of their first meeting in 1955.

In a report, the official gazette of the Communist Party of Mexico (PCM) "El Machete", stresses out that the argument put forward by Mayor Alessandra Rojo de la Vega was the lack of formal permits for its placement, despite the fact that the work had been there for several years and was recognized by residents and passersby.

The KKE and its revolutionary action are a thorn in the side of all kinds of anti-communists

Comment by the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE:

The ongoing struggle of the KKE and the mass mobilizations currently taking place in Greece, in which the KKE and KNE are playing a leading role, have placed all kinds of anti-communists in a very difficult position. Supporters of Greece’s greater involvement in the war, alongside Israel and the USA, accuse the KKE of supporting ‘the mullahs’, the ‘theocratic regime’ of Iran,  ‘terrorists’ and even ‘conservatism’ through its stance. They also claim that it it ‘fosters anti-Semitism’ because it supports the just struggle of the Palestinian people, who are being massacred by the murderous state of Israel.
